OPD starts in AIIMS, Cong acknowledges Centre

Raipur, June 05, 2013

State Congress expressed its gratitude to Centre for taking initiative and commencing out patient department (OPD) in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Raipur from Wednesday. Notably, the AIIMS commenced OPD in medicine, surgery, paediatrics, otolaryngology (ENT – ear, nose & throat), gynaecology, orthopaedics, ophthalmology and psychology departments from Wednesday.

The PCC spokesperson Mahendra Chhabda informed that the party had sent a proposal to the Centre to instantly start trauma unit in AIIMS considering increasing naxal activities in Chhattisgarh.

He said the Congress-led UPA government had again proved that it is committed to provide better medical facility to Chhattisgarh by first starting studies in AIIMS and then commencing OPD in eight departments.
