Cong pledges to fulfil dreams of deceased leaders

Raipur, June 18, 2013

Congress on Tuesday pledged to fulfil dreams of its leaders who lost their lives during naxal attack on May 25, 2013. “We will fulfil the objective for which our leaders have sacrificed their lives,” said Mahant while convening meeting of party’s district and block heads at Congress Bhawan.

He said May 25 incident happened because Congress was set to bring change in state through its parivartan yatra. He said whoever hindered the yatra would face consequence.

On factionalism he said let the worker belong to any camp, but everybody should participate in all events of the party. He further informed DCC and BCC heads about instructions of the high command.

Pointing that May 25 incident took place because no security was given to Congress yatra convoy, CLP leader Ravindra Choubey said the conspiracy was hatched by BJP government.

The party’s programme coordinator Bhupesh Baghel said the Congress would expose everybody whose name appeared in the SMS sent by late PCC chief Nandkumar Patel’s son Dinesh.

The senior leaders further discussed over party’s future events including its door-to-door drive (ghar ghar Congress, har ghar Congress). The party general secretary Subhash Sharma asked the DCC and BCC presidents to submit their monthly reports regularly.

Besides DCC and BCC heads the meeting was attended by party treasurer Ramgopal Agrawal, secretary Amit Pandey, MLAs Ambika Markam and Dr Shiv Kumar Daharia, PCC spokesperson Shailesh Nitin Trivedi, etc.
