Congress on Friday alleged
that the BJP government simply wanted to take political advantage through its
Mukhyamantri Swarojgar Yojna (MMSY) and did not actually intend to benefit the
youth from the scheme.
“MMSY is yet
another political gimmick of the ruling BJP to take advantage in upcoming
assembly polls. The government has earlier deceived youth during 2008 Vidhan
Sabha polls by promising them to give unemployment allowance and job to at
least one young member of every tribal family,” said Congress spokesperson
Sushil Anand Shukla.
“Congress has
history of deceiving people. It is well aware that MMSY would never touch
practical reality as with just a couple of months left for assembly polls, code
of conduct will come into effect in coming days,” he said.
“If the
government was concerned about future of youth then why it took nine and a half
years in bringing this scheme and that too just before polls,” he asked.
“Still, if
the government really wants to implement MMSY then it should tell how many
youth will get benefited by it before code of conduct coming into effect,” he further
asked.
He said the
youngsters of the state were well aware of the government’s trickery did not
trust it anymore.
