AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh will arrive in state capital on
at evening on June 3. During his will visit, he will pay his condolence to the
family members of the deceased Congress leaders.
According
to information, he will first meet family members of Congress leader Yogendra
Sharma in village Tekari on June 3. On the following day, he will go to
Dantewada and Rajnandgaon and pay meet families of Mahendra Karma and Uday
Mudliyar respectively. On June 5, he will go to village Nandeli to meet family
members of Nandkumar Patel. On June 6, he will participate in local programmes
at Raipur and return to New Delhi through regular flight at evening.
Although
Singh has clarified that he would never interfere into decision making affairs
of state Congress, his proposed Raipur arrival, just a day after PCC
office-bearers’ meeting, is said to be significant as he is likely to make an
effort in bridging gap between party factions by urging them to forget
differences and pose united challenge to the ruling BJP in upcoming polls.
