Congress has condemned police lathicharge on people of
tribal community who were advancing to gherao Vidhan Sabha in favour of their
demands on Monday. The PCC president Nandkumar Patel and CLP leader Ravindra
Choubey termed the police action against the demonstrators as repressive and
said it exposed the anti-tribal face of the government. “The demands of the
tribals are genuine, but instead of fulfilling them the government is
suppressing their voices,” they charged.
