The National Council for Promotion of Sindhi Language (NCPSL)
will felicitate twelve prominent Sindhi litterateurs at Pt JNM Medical College in
the state capital on March 11.
The vice chairman of the council Ramesh Warlyani
informed that the council will give lifetime achievement awards to Dr Dayal
Asha from Ullhasnagar (Maharashtra) and Dr Prem Prakash from Ahmedabad (Gujarat ) for their invaluable contribution in Sindhi
literature. The duo will also receive cash award of Rs one lakh each.
Similarly, the ten other Sindhi litterateurs would
receive cash award of Rs 50000 cash each from the council, informed Warlyani.
These litterateurs are – Gop Kamal (Pune), Valiram Kishnani (Adipur), Sarita
Sharma, Manohar Chugh, Bansi Khoobchandani (Mumbai), Gyanchand Lalwani, Ashok
Manwani (Bhopal) Motiram Ramchandani,
Ghanshyam Sagar (Ahmedabad) and Ratan Israni (New Delhi).
The felicitation ceremony will be followed by Sindhi
musical night. Warlyani informed that renowned Sindhi singers Pankaj Jaswani
from New Delhi
and Kajal Chandiramani from Mumbai will present their programmes.
Warlyani informed that the intellectuals from Sindhi
community from different parts of the country would participate in the
felicitation ceremony. He said Sindhu Cultural Forum and Badhte Kadam will help
the council to make the programme successful at local level.
