The ‘united Congress’ is suddenly looking ‘divided’
for the past couple of days. PCC president Nandkumar Patel, who was supposed to
bring all factions under party’s umbrella, is a frustrated man at present. After
toiling hard for about ten months or so, he finds the state unit at same
condition what it had been when he held its baton. According to information,
Patel has reportedly sought help from state Congress incharge BK Hariprasada to
bring back all the bogies of the party back in track amicably. According to
information, Hariprasada is likely to arrive in state capital after Holi to
resolve conflict between senior party leaders.
Patel and CLP leader Ravindra Choubey are in
poll-bound Goa presently to campaign for party
candidates. They have separately talked to Hariprasada regarding increasing
tendency of senior leaders to go against the partyline and either attack the
organisation or give controversial statements.
They are said to have urged Hariprasada to tighten
noose on senior leader Ajit Jogi who has triggered scathing attack against the
organisation. They have also expressed their concern over absence of
legislators and senior leaders in the party’s first training camp for workers
at Amlipadar under Bindranawagarh Vidhan Sabha area recently.
They told Hariprasada that with seniors refusing to
follow party leadership’s instructions, the workers down the line may too join
the bandwagon of dissenters and it would be a massive jolt to Congress which
aims to win next assembly and general elections.
