No future of communal forces in India: Jogi

Raipur, March 09, 2012

Once again, training his guns towards BJP in wake of poll results in five states, former chief minister Ajit Jogi said although Congress could not get public mandate in Uttar Pradesh, it was more frustrating for BJP which aimed to win elections playing communal card.
“The people of UP have made it clear to the BJPians that they do not want communal party in power by rejecting them,” he said.
“There is no future of communal forces in the country as the people here are peace-loving. The BJP has always deceived people in the past and it tried to do it again during assembly elections in five states recently, but failed,” Jogi said.
He, however, exhorted his own partymen asking them not to get discouraged by the negative result in UP against Congress.
“Of course, the party workers must be feeling demoralised after hard work done by party’s general secretary Rahul Gandhi in UP. But there has been marked increase in vote percent of Congress candidates, a positive sign which would benefit the party in coming years. While the vote percent of the BJP candidates have declined sharply,” Jogi said.
