The NSUI members on Tuesday protested at Pt
Ravishankar Shukla University (RSU) campus against distribution of erroneous
admit cards to students. They also submitted a memorandum to varsity vice
chancellor Professor SK Pandey demanding quick correction in admit cards and
resolution of other problems being faced by the students.
The NSUI’s Raipur
district vice presidents Bhavesh Shukla and Akash Sharma informed that several
admit cards distributed by the varsity were erroneous. “The students have
complained in this regard to the RSU administration but no measure was taken to
correct the error,” they said.
“Besides, touts have emerged in large number in many
private colleges, affiliated by the varsity, and they obtain the admit cards of
the students in a jiffy against ‘specific charges’. The students too are
compelled to pay this illegal charge to the touts as otherwise they would have
to obtain the admit card by standing in a queue. The colleges deserve the blame
for the mismanagement but since the varsity is least bothered about students’
problems, they have been spared,” the duo said.
The NSUI members demanded from the vice chancellor to
ensure students may not be deprived of appearing in exam due to erroneous admit
cards or because of administrative fault.
“We will aggressively demonstrate before the exams if
the varsity will not accept our demands and address the problems of the
students,” said Shukla and Sharma.
On the occasion were present Ashish Dwivedi, Dinesh
Mishra, Amit Sharma, Manish Sharma, Sumit Chandrakar, Rohit Saxena, Vishnu
Sharma, Deepak Soni, Chandan Barik, etc.
