To encourage the farmers of Chhattisgarh to adopt new agricultural technologies and learn the methods of organic farming, the Agriculture department sends them not only to different districts of the state but also to other states. In this connection, the department has selected ten farmers from Rajnandgaon district this time and has sent them to Jalgaon and Ralegaon Siddhi in Maharashtra to learn about advanced techniques of water management, organic farming, horticulture, drip irrigation, etc. The officials of the department informed that the Maharashtra tour of the farmers’ team started on October 10. The team will return on October 14 and then share their experience with the department officials as well as farmers of the state.
