The Raipur Rail Division has expedited development and beautification works of Raipur railway station. Lifts would be installed in the station before construction of ramps so that old, disabled and patients may not face inconvenience while going to other platforms from Platform No 1.
A new ticket counter would be soon constructed behind the railway station to reduce pressure on the counter at main gate of the station. A garden is being developed in front of station and the project is expected to be over in next couple of months. The Raipur Rail Division is also planning to make premium parking lot like Mumbai and Chennai railway stations.
