Jogi appeals to people to dethrone BJP govt

Raipur, October 11, 2011

Congress legislator Ajit Jogi has appealed to the people to dethrone the BJP government in next Assembly elections. His appeal came on while he was speaking on the occasion of Dussera at village Tila in Abhanpur development block.

He said the bad governance of Raman Singh government would only end up when people would decide not to vote the BJP in next polls. “The BJP government is deceiving people for the past seven years. The promises it made to people like distribution of unemployment allowance, free cows to farmers, Rs 270 paddy bonus, etc are still unfulfilled. Even the pesticides being distributed to the farmers are not original,” Jogi said.

The Dussera programme was presided over by former PCC president Dhanendra Sahu. Jogi’s spouse and MLA Dr Renu Jogi was also present on the occasion. The other Congress leaders who attended the programme were Paras Thakur, Iqbal Ahmed Rizvi, Vibha Sahu, Bhagwanu Nayak, Kamlesh Patel, Ramsewak, Raghunandan, Shobha Verma, etc.
