Former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Ajit Jogi on Monday said that the farmers of the state were upset with the extension of paddy procurement date to November 15. “The farmers are already harassed as they have incurred huge loss due to flood. By far they have not even received adequate compensation from the government. Now, the date to commence paddy procurement has been extended. The farmers are facing acute financial crunch but the government is apathetic,” Jogi said.
