The media incharge of Pradesh Mahila Congress (PMC) Ayesha Siddiqui has been appointed as national general secretary of Mahila Congress. She has also been entrusted an independent charge of Orissa. Siddiqui informed that the Mahila Congress president Anita Verma had selected 22 women leaders from different states for organisation’s national posts. From Chhattisgarh, Siddiqui was the only women leader selected for the coveted post. After getting new portfolio, Siddiqui paid courtesy visit to AICC treasurer Motilal Vora, state Congress general secretary incharge BK Hariprasada, Rajya Sabha MP Mohsina Kidwai and Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Processing Charandas Mahant at New Delhi.
