Senior Congress leader Ajit Jogi has alleged that the state’s public distribution system (PDS) was ineffective and the BPL cardholders were not getting ration timely. “How can Chief Minister Raman Singh claim that his government’s PDS is effective when the eligible cardholders have to wait for two-three weeks and sometimes even a month for ration? This happens because the fair price shops owners are having nexus with the black marketeers,” he charged. Jogi said the government was rather responsible for bulging inflation in the state as the prices of vegetables, food grains and daily use items had doubled in the recent past.
