Cong asks registrar Coop to conduct polls fairly

Raipur, May 11, 2012

Congress has asked registrar Cooperative to conduct polls transparently. Alleging of irregularities in the polls, a delegation of Congress cooperative committee submitted a memorandum to the registrar Cooperative on Friday.
“The polls are not being organised fairly due to ruling BJP’s interference. Even the government officials engaged in conduction of polls are making mockery of this democratic method of electing representative on directives of BJPians,” said the delegation.
The Congmen alleged that rules and quota system were not followed during nomination procedures. “Considering irregularities prevailed in nomination procedures, the registrar Cooperative should revoke all the nominations and announce fresh polls,” they said.
They charged that the government wants to deprive the Congress candidates from being selected democratically as cooperative representative.
The delegation that submitted memorandum to registrar was comprised of Congress cooperative committee chairman Satyanarayan Sharma, Baijnath Chandrakar, Domendra Bhediya, Ashok Agrawal, Vinod Tiwari, Rajesh Sharma, Jagdish Mehar, Rajesh Tiwari, Harish Tiwari, Shiv Singh Thakur, Dr Chouleshwar Chandrakar, Bulaki Verma, Sharik Rais Khan, Tikendra Thakur, Rehan Khan and chief PCC spokesperson Shailesh Nitin Trivedi.
