Terms BJP govt as corrupt

On concluding day of vada nibhao fortnight

Over 9000 partymen stage court arrest

Congress leaders on Monday came out heavily at ruling BJP during concluding public rally under its vada nibhao fortnight at Gandhi Maidan and went to the extent of saying that corruption in the government was brimming that would eventually land Chief Minister Raman Singh at Tihar jail as a companion of former Union Telecom Minister A Raja who is convict of infamous 2G spectrum allocation scam. On the occasion, 9827 party workers staged court arrest. 
Addressing the partymen, the AICC general secretary and state Congress incharge BK Hariprasada said all the BJP-ruled states were corrupt. He said the BJP in Chhattisgarh had fought previous Assembly election with promise to deal fear, starvation and corruption factors, but had actually filled sense of insecurity among the citizens currently.
“How will a common man feel protected if the government cannot ensure security of a Collector,” he asked.
“The BJP has crossed all boundaries of grafts and has become Bharatiya Jail Party. CAG report was an eye-opener. In future, none of the BJP ministers would be spared and all of them would be put behind the bars on corruption charges,” he said.
On power tariff hike he appealed to the partymen to launch massive public movement against the government. He said the party would continue its vada nibhao campaign. He also appealed the Maoists to release abducted Sukma Collector Alex Paul Menon.

Mahant appeals workers to save state culture
Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Processing Industry Charandas Mahant urged the partymen to save Chhattisgarh’s rich culture from Raman Singh government. He alleged that the BJP government had sold the state to the industrialists and capitalists. He said the state had become safe hub for criminals. He flayed the government for failing to deal naxal problem in past eight years. He said the ruling BJP had also ignored farmers and prioritised industrialists. He also indicated that the government did little to create employment opportunities for state youth.

We will go on hunger strike if Collector not released: Patel
PCC president Nandkumar Patel warned the government that Congress would go on hunger strike if the government would failed to get abducted Sukma Collector released quickly. He said the CM’s misdeeds would end up in Tihar jail. On power tariff hike he said while the government did not kept any of its promises made to poor, the Congress give five-point electricity connection gratis to them. He termed the announcement of bonus by government as empty boasting. “Even the government-sponsored gram suraj abhiyan was fake and intended to deceive people,” he said.
The rally was also addressed by CLP leader Ravindra Choubey, AICC secretary and state Congress secretary incharge Bhakt Charandas, former CM Ajit Jogi, senior party leader Vidya Charan Shukla, former PCC president Dhanendra Sahu, national president of Kisan Congress Shamsher Singh Surjewala, RMC mayor Kiranmayi Nayak, Pankaj Sharma, Ghanshyam Raju Tiwari, Aijaz Dhebar, Inderchand Dhariwal, Uttam Vasudev, Vikas Upadhyay, Satnam Singh Panag, Nagbhushan Rao, Sanjeev Shukla, Pramod Dubey, etc.
The party leaders who had been assigned to bring large number of crowd with them reached Gandhi Maidan in the form of rallies. The PCC secretary Yogesh Tiwari led large number of workers including Sanjeev Shukla, Subodh Haritwal, Sushil Agrawal, etc and reached Gandhi Maidan in the form of a rally. Similarly, NSUI state vice president Deepak Mishra led a group of NSUI members and reached Gandhi Maidan shouting slogans against the government.
