NSUI to CGBSE: Give bonus marks to players

Raipur, May 22, 2012

The NSUI members on Tuesday demanded from Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) to give bonus marks to the students who are state and national-level players. They also protested before board office wearing dresses of different games and playing cricket, hockey, etc.
“The government had announced in 2009 that the students who would play at state and national level would get bonus marks as they would not be able to shell out ample time for studies. However, the board has not followed the government’s instructions and deprived the players of their deserved bonus marks,” said NSUI’s former state president Sanjeev Shukla.
He hinted that the NSUI would aggressively agitate in future if the board would not meet its demands.
On the occasion were present Gulzeb Ahmed, Golu Gawli, Ajay Pal, Nadeem Salat, Shahbaz Hussein, Vipin Mishra, Taru Mishra, Anish Nizami, Sheikh Asif, Shashikant Barore, etc.
