PCC spokesperson Rajesh Bissa has said
that before selecting Chhattisgarh as the initial point to kick-start his
nationwide anti-corruption campaign Swami Ramdev must have acquired information
that it tops the list of most corrupt states in the country. “If he was aware
of this then he should have first filed an affidavit against the state
ministers and officials to Lokayukta and other capable forums,” said Bissa on
Thursday.
“In last eight years, the forest lands and
mineral resources had been allocated indiscriminately. Ramdev should take
cognisance of this and file case against the ministers and officials,” he said.
He challenged Ramdev of providing
documental evidences pertaining to grafts cases don by the ministers and
officials. “Let Ramdev show these evidences to his lawyers and team members in
presence of common people. If he prima facie finds the evidences true then he
should assure to file case against the guilty people,” he said.
“It is expected from people like Ramdev to
sue corrupt ones and if he would not take such initiatives then his movement
would become worthless,” he added.
“It is not easy to fight against the
corrupt people. I have been doing this for a long time. I have filed affidavit
against the ministers and senior officials on graft charges. First, we must
display our strong character against corruption and then try to infuse such
qualities in public. As a political party, the Congress is doing this works
very efficiently,” Bissa said.
