Rahul Gandhi has full trust on state Congress: Patel

Raipur, May 21, 2012

Disquieted by the reports that much-talked Congress training camp exposed the party’s increasing factionalism and AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi too expressed his annoyance over it, the PCC president Nandkumar Patel on Monday attempted to do the damage control exercise by claiming that Gandhi had full trust on state unit.
“Rather, Gandhi infused energy in the workers during his brief visit to Raipur,” Patel stated.
“By pointing lacunae in Congress, Gandhi appealed the leaders and workers to unite and achieve the party’s long-term gaols,” he added.
“Gandhi asked all the Congmen to work as a party worker so that we could win public mandate in the coming elections,” he said.
Patel claimed that Gandhi’s inputs would help consolidating the party. “The BJP government has already been exposed. We will continue our protest movement against the government’s misdeeds and inform public about scams and irregularities done by the ruling party and the abject condition of villages, poor and farmer across the state,” he said.
He said the party and its frontal organisations would foster dharna and protest movements at block, district and state levels.
