The NSUI has demanded from Chhattisgarh Board of secondary Education (CGBSE) to simplify revaluation system in favour of students. The NSUI members also demonstrated before the board office in this connection on Thursday.
“The board has made the revaluation system complicated. It should rather stick to the earlier format which was simple as the students were getting the result in 15-20 days by spending merely Rs 300-400. Now, the new system will take about three months time and the student seeking revaluation would have to shell out about Rs 1500,” said NSUI state vice president Subodh Haritwal.
“Three months is long period and can affect further studies of the students seeking revaluation. As against earlier system, the student will now have to first apply for recounting. After one month, he will get the copy of the answer sheet. Thereafter, he can submit application for revaluation. The three-stage revaluation system is merely being adopted to harass the students,” he said.
He also trained his guns at board officials terming them irresponsible. “While we were demonstrating before the board office and tried to convey our message to the senior officials, none came out. Rather, they called police to throw us out. However, the board cannot shirk its responsibility and we will continue mounting pressure on it unless it simplifies the revaluation system as it was earlier,” he said.
On the occasion, Haritwal was accompanied by Pradeep Sahu, Shahbaz Hussein, Nadeem Salat, Shashikant Barore, Shiva Khandelwal, Gaurav Singh, Sheikh Asif, Naushad Khan, Chinu Pandey, Ravi Sen, Tarun Soni, Aniket Kumar, etc.
