Rahul arrival: Several roads to be under security net

Raipur, May 17, 2012

Considering AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi’s arrival on Friday, large number of security personnel will be pressed at several roads of the capital city. Gandhi, who already has Z plus security, will spend about nine hours in Raipur.
According to information, there will be at least 10-12 vehicles for strong security of Gandhi’s long cavalcade. Similarly, the police will virtually seal the airport road and Dhamtari-Raipur road.
Notably, the route of Gandhi’s cavalcade from Mana airport to Rajkumar College (RKC) and then from RKC to indoor stadium has not yet been disclosed due to security reasons.
However, the tentative route of his fleet would be – from airport road to Telebandha, SRP chowk, CM house, police line, Budhapara, Purani Basti to RKC. Gandhi’s fleet will adopt the same rout to go to indoor stadium from RKC in the afternoon and then return to RKC. At evening, Gandhi is likely to return from same route again from RKC to airport.
Still, alternative routes of his fleet have also been chalked out and could be adopted in the last minute. Meanwhile, all the tall buildings coming in the route of Gandhi’s cavalcade too have been occupied by the cops to keep a hawk’s eye on every activity of the passers-by.
