Seven-day Sindhi-bhagat begins today


Raipur, May 21, 2012

The National Council for Promotion of Sindhi Language (NCPSL) will organise seven-day Sindhi-bhagat from Tuesday (May 22-28). The programme will be organised in different cities of the state.
The vice chairman of council Ramesh Warlyani informed that in Chhattisgarh Sindhi-bhagat would be organised by Sindhu Cultural Forum (SCF) and Sindhi Panchayat. He informed that Sindhi-bhagat would be presented by Kamal (Ajmer) and Sanjay (Mumbai) who are renowned followers of saint Kanwarram. The duo will be dressed like the saint during their performance, he added.
The programme organiser of the SCF Kanhaiyyalal Chhugani and general secretary Harish Vaswani informed that the Sindhi-bhagat will commence from Rajim-Nayapara from Tuesday.
The other cities where the programme will be organised are – Rajnandgaon – May 23, Bhilai – May 24, Tilda – May 25, Kanker – May 26, Bhatapara – May 27 and Durg – May 28.
Chhugani and Vaswani informed that the preparations regarding Sindhi-bhagat had been completed in all the scheduled cities. The SCF has assigned responsibilities to the forum members for better coordination of the programmes, the duo said.
The responsibility of preparation for Rajim had been given to Ashok Gurnani, Rajnandgaon – Jhamandas Athwani, Bhilai – Kanhaiyyalal Chhugani, Tilda – Harish Vaswani, Kanker – Mohan Khatuja, Bhatapara – Parmanand Chimnani and Durg – Suresh Shadani and Darshan Nihal.
Warlyani will be the chief guest of Sindhi-bhagat programmes while NCPSL director Nirmal Goplani (New Delhi) would attend the programmes at Kanker and Bhatapara, informed the council member Suresh Shadani.
