Raipur, November 17, 2011
The PCC president Nandkumar Patel on Thursday informed that a probe team had started scanning MNREG and other works carried under Central schemes in Sarguja. “The probe team has been sent by Union Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh after the state Congress submitted a report of its monitoring committee regarding rising graft cases in Sarguja district,” said Patel who is in two-day tour to national capital.
Ramesh has already announced about his Sarguja tour on December 17 and 18 during his recent state visit when he spent two full days in Bastar. “The minister is looking forward to his Sarguja tour after we anded him a list of 19 graft cases, one in each block of Sarguja district,” Patel said.
He further informed that state Congress incharge BK Hariprasada will interact with the partymen in newly constituted Balrampur and Surajpur districts during district-level workers’ meeting on November 28 and 29. Patel met Hariprasada at New Delhi on Thursday morning and urged the latter to quickly finalise the names of the DCC presidents for nine new districts.
He also informed Hariprasada about the job delegation to the PCC general secretaries and other activities of the party in the state.
Patel further proposed to add four more members in monitoring committee chaired by senior party leader Arvind Netam. He said the committee was doing well in keeping an eye on flagship prgrammes of the Centre and adding more members would help expanding its activities.
He informed Hariprasada that the committee would tour all the blocks of Koria district on November 21 and Jashpur district on November 22.
Notably, Patel and CLP leader Ravindra Choubey will accompany the committee members in Koria and Jashpur tours.
