Congress monitoring panel to tour Koria, Jashpur on 21 & 22

To oversee the flagship programmes of UPA government in Koria and Jashpur the Congress monitoring committee will be on two-day tour of the two districts – o November 21 and 22. The PCC president Nandkumar Patel and CLP leader Ravindra Choubey will accompany the 11-member committee in the tours.
The Congress media cell chairman Shailesh Nitin Trivedi informed that the committee will take help of party’s local office-bearers representing blocks, districts and state along with janpad presidents, MLAs and former MLAs in gathering information regarding progress of Central schemes, especially MNREGA and PMGSY works in their respective areas.
The monitoring committee had last time convened its two-day meeting at Ambikapur last month on October 18 and 19. The committee had also inspected status of Central schemes in several blocks.
Later, Patel and Choubey revealed that maximum number of irregularities in MNREGA and PMGSY prevailed in Sarguja division. The committee prepared a list of 19 such irregularities, one from each block and submitted it to state unit incharge BK Hariprasada. The duo hinted that the party would also unearth many more scams in other parts of the state.
Patel and Choubey then toured Bastar along with Hariprasada and Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Processing Charandas Mahant on November 11 and 12 and not only urged the workers to unite for the party’s mission 2013 but also asked them to collect evidences pertaining to Centrally-sponsored schemes being implemented in their areas. The four also attended workers’ meetings during their Bastar visit and got good response from workers. Elated by the success of the Bastar tour, the party now hopes to elicit much more against the BJP government in monitoring committee’s Koria and Jashpur tours.
According to information, the committee chairman Arvind Netam has given information regarding Koria and Jashpur tours to all the members. The committee members are - Satyanarayan Sharma, Tarun Chaterjee, Chanesh Ram Rathiya, Ghanaram Sahu, Devvrat Singh, Jhitruram Baghel, Imran Memon, Fulodevi Netam, Ganeshshankar Bajpayee and Chandraprakash Bajpayee.
