The members of DCC Raipur City led by their president Inderchand Dhariwal distributed fruits to the senior citizens at old age home at Shyamnagar on the occasion of PCC president Nandkumar Patel’s birthday on Tuesday.
“Since Patel had appealed to the Congress workers and members of all the frontal organisations to cancel plans of celebrating his birthday in wake of Balod, Rajnandgaon, Khairagarh and Kawardha eye camp incidents and government’s failure to keep its promises done to farmers, we decided to serve old, destitute and patients on the occasion according to his instructions,” Dhariwal said. He was accompanied by Madan Lal Taleda, Chandrashekhar Yadav, Sheikh Shakeel, Afroz Anjum, Mamta Rai, Dinesh Tiwari, etc.
Another group of party workers led by PCC secretary Yogesh Tiwari distributed blankets in leprosy basti on Patel’s birthday. Thereafter, the partymen reached Kutchery Chowk-based Bal Ashram and distributed sweets and fruits to the orphans. Tiwari said anarchy prevailed in the state owing to the government’s insensitivity towards the problems of the people and inability to curb corruption and crime. Tiwari was accompanied by Raipur Lok Sabha YC president Vinod Tiwari, Nitin Bhansali, Sushil Agrawal, Indrajeet Singh, Ritesh Tripathi and others.
Similarly, the members of YC led by their Raipur North Vidhan Sabha general secretary Dilip Singh Chouhan distributed fruits to the patients of district hospital on the occasion of PCC president Nandkumar Patel’s birthday on Tuesday. The YC members who accompanied Chouhan at district hospital were – Rehan Khan, Bakar Abbas, Akhilesh Joshi, Bablu Raza, Anil Yadav, Ashish Dwivedi, Ujjwal, Gaurav, Imran, etc.
