Raipur, November 21, 2011

After delegating responsibilities of Lok Sabha incharges to the PCC general secretaries, the state unit president Nandkumar Patel is now planning to assign similar jobs to the organizational secretaries as well. Patel, who is on two-day tour of Koria and Jashpur districts along with CLP leader Ravindra Choubey and members of Congress monitoring committee to oversee the flagship programmes of the UPA government, will return state capital on Tuesday night. He is likely to convene meeting of the PCC secretaries on November 23. Choubey will also attend the meeting.

He may also ask the secretaries to increase party votebank in the BJP-dominated Assembly constituencies.
Patel is also planning to utilise the experience of party vice presidents by giving them special tasks. There are seven vice-presidents in the party at present including former Lok Sabha member from Raigarh Pushpa Devi Singh, Ambikapur legislator TS Singhdeo, ex-MLA Bilaspur Baijnath Chandrakar, Konta legislator Kawasi Lakhma, ex-MLA Durg Pradeep Choubey, ex-MLA Raigarh Krishna Kumar Gupta and MLA Saraipali Haridas Bhardwaj.
