Cong jeers BJP Minister for defending govt on graft charges

Raipur, November 07, 2011
The Congress has ridiculed PWD Minister Brijmohan Agrawal and BJP state general secretary Shivratan Sharma for challenging the opposition to provide evidences regarding its graft charges against the government and reiterated that the ruling party was corrupt from top to bottom.
“The BJP government has set record of corruption cases, not achievements during its over seven years of regime in the state,” said former PCC president Dhanendra Sahu, Satyanarayan Sharma, Dhanesh Patila, Pushpa Devi Singh, Congress media cell chairman Shailesh Nitin Trivedi and others in a joint statement on Tuesday.
“Agrawal is trying to divert public attention from issue of corruption raised by the Congress,” they said.
“The government should first speak on the burning issues like rising corruption, eye camp incidents, abduction and murder of children, increasing crime against women, exploitation and harassment of tribals and reason for staking future of youth,” the Congress leaders said.
