Raman govt playing politics with Shikshakarmis: Jogi

Raipur, November 01, 2011

Senior Congress leader and MLA Ajit Jogi has alleged that the Raman Singh government was playing politics with Shikshakarmis and compelling them to continue their strike.
“The government has never posed seriousness towards the demands of Shikshakarmis who had warned of going on strike one month before. The students could not continue their studies because schools are locked in the backdrop of agitating Shikshakarmis. Still the government is silent,” Jogi said.
He said the government simply intended to deceive the Shikshakarmis by constituting a committee a day before commencement of Rajyotsava-2011.
“The education system has completely destroyed due to government’s adamant attitude. Over two lakh Shikshakarmis are being maltreated by the government. Already, the appointment process of headmasters is under consideration in the court due to government’s wrong policies. The quality of government schools is poor and consequently people are forced to send their children in private schools,” he said.
