The Congress on Tuesday demanded from the government to reduce the rates of building materials. “In past two months, the rates of cement, sand bricks and macadam have increased sharply. By hiking the rates, the cement companies and building material suppliers are making huge profit. Still the government is not taking any measure to bring down the rates,” charged the DCC Raipur City president Inderchand Dhariwal and other partymen. Dhariwal informed that the DCC members would submit a memorandum to Collector Rohit Yadav on Wednesday and urge him to bring down rates.
