Gives three-day ultimatum to construct service road from Pachpedi Naka chowk to Santoshi Nagar chowk

The Congress on Thursday gheraoed the Telibandha office of DS Vicon, the construction company hired by National Authority of India (NHAI) for fourlane project at Ring Road No 1 to mount pressure on the agency to complete the construction of service road from Pachpedi Naka chowk to Santoshi Nagar chowk rapidly.
But when no officials met the Congressmen, the latter staged dharna before the DS Vicon office for about two hours and warned of locking the company’s office as well as Shankar Nagar-based NHAI office if the service road would not be completed in three days.
Later, the Congress leaders also gheraoed the NHAI office and asked the Authority’s incharge project director Vijay Shrivastava to blacklist DS Vicon for delaying the fourlane project and causing inconvenience to the public.
The Congmen also talked to NHAI chairman AK Upadhyay over phone and informed him about delay in fourlane project due to slow pace and reckless attitude of DS Vicon. Upadhyay has asked the Congress leaders to send the entire information via fax and assured to take suitable action soon.
The Congress leaders who gheraoed the NHAI and DS Vicon offices were - DCC Raipur City president Inderchand Dhariwal, RMC corporator Jagdish Ahuja, Sumit Das, Santosh Tiwari, Sudarshan Jain, Sheikh Shakeel, Dinesh Tiwari, Kamal Netam and others.
