Alleging that medicines of Ambedkar hospital were being sold outside and the doctors were compelling patients to buy medicines from drug stores, a delegation of Congress leaders submitted a memorandum to hospital superintendent Dr Vivek Choudhary on Friday.
The delegation informed that the patients diarrhea, malaria and other seasonal diseases were not getting basic facilities like medicines and beds in the hospital.
The delegation mounted pressure on Choudhary to take stern action against the guilty doctors who were benefiting private drug stores.
“Choudhary regretted that such trend prevailed despite ample stock of medicines for different diseases. He issued directive that the doctors should stop compelling patients to buy medicines from private drug stores or else complaint would be made against them to Health Minister,” said DCC Raipur Urban president Inderchand Dhariwal.
On the occasion, Dhariwal was accompanied by Dr Niranjan Haritwal, Dinesh Tiwari, Nitin Thakur, Manish Dayal, Vimal Christian, Yogesh Tiwari, etc.
