NSUI gheraoes IGAU for 0% result in dairy extension

Raipur, August 01, 2012

The members of NSUI on Wednesday gheraoed administrative block of Indira Gandhi Agriculture University (IGAU) for 0% result in dairy extension course in second semester of College of Dairy Technology.
The NSUI members held eggs symbolising zero during their protest at varsity. They later met varsity registrar and informed him about the unexpected result in College of Dairy Technology. They urged the registrar to announce recounting of all papers of dairy extension.
“Certainly the results of second semester were unexpected as all the 54 students failed in dairy extension course. The results were declared on June 23 and the students were shocked by it,” said the NSUI leader Gulzeb Ahmed.
He informed that the College of Dairy Technology lacked adequate teaching staff besides other basic infrastructures.
“There is no teacher for many subjects. The lecturers and professors for dairy extension course were coming from the varsity. Among these, Professor MK Chaturvedi conducted only three theory classes in the entire year. He did not take any practical class during this period,” said Ahmed.
“We have also demanded provision of sufficient teaching staff in College of Dairy Technology from the registrar,” he added.
During protest, Ahmed was accompanied by Dhananjay Singh, Anis Nizami, Shahbaz Hussein, Sheikh Asif, Nadeem Salat, Shashikant Barore, Pankaj Singh, Siddhant Agrawal, Rahul Lalwani, etc.
