Cong expresses grief over Vilasrao Deshmukh demise


Raipur, August 14, 2012

State Congress has expressed grief over demise of Union Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh on Tuesday. PCC president Nandkumar Patel and CLP leader Ravindra Choubey said that Deshmukh had cordial relation with the PCC members when he was party’s state unit incharge. They termed his demise as major loss to the party.
Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Processing Industry Charandas Mahant said Deshmukh served the party as a true soldier. Mahant said Deshmukh discharged his responsibility seriously and contributed in country’s development.
Senior party legislator Ajit Jogi said Deshmukh always attempted to beef up party.
The party also organised a tribute programme for Deshmukh at 6 pm in Congress Bhawan on Tuesday. On the occasion were present PCC president Nandkumar Patel, party general secretary Ramesh Warlyani, Rajendra Tiwari, MLA Dr Shiv Kumar Daharia, PCC spokespersons Shailesh Nitin Trivedi, Mahendra Chhabda, DCC Raipur Urban president Inderchand Dhariwal, etc.
