Under its anti-govt movement Congress will gherao Janjgir collectorate on August 17. The party gheraoed Mahasamund collectorate on Tuesday and termed it a success. PCC president Nandkumar Patel too attended the collectorate gherao programme in Mahasamund.
Earlier, the party had gheraoed Dhamtari collectorate on August 13 and Bilaspur collectorate on August 9.
Notably, the Congress has launched anti-govt movement to protest host of issues related to power including hike in power tariff, inordinate power bills. Frequent power cuts, black marketing of fertilisers and seeds, etc.
Next week, the party will gherao Raigarh collectorate on August 21 and Durg collectorate on August 24. The Congress plans to gherao collectorates of all the districts of state by September 29 except Raipur
