BJPMM prez remark deplorable: PMC

Raipur, August 10, 2012
The Pradesh Mahila Congress (PMC) has termed remarks of BJP Mahila Morcha (BJPMM) president Shobha Soni against it as reprehensible. “Soni should stop worrying about the PMC and first see what is happening in her own party,” advised the PMC president Ambika Markam and organizational secretary and spokesperson Nivedita Chaterjee.
“Surprisingly, Soni is unable to see that the women abuse cases have skyrocketed during BJP’s tenure. Moreover, the women are being abused on charges of naxal, tribal girls are being trafficked and female cop is being raped under BJP regime. Ironically, even the BJP leaders were seen dancing with the bargirls during navratri festival. These incidents rather prove that the BJP has picked appropriate new slogan for it, i.e. chal, chritra aur chehra (behaviour, character and face),” the duo said.
“Strangely, the BJPMM president is insensitive towards the uterus removal cases, eye camp incidents that resulted in eyesight loss of several patients and recent deaths in tubectomy and vasectomy camps,” they charged.
“Soni must first ask her BJP government do at least such works which may not embarrass the women party workers during poll campaign for next Assembly polls,” they said.
