The Youth Congress (YC) has once again demanded from Raipur Municipal
Corporation (RMC) to install traffic signal at BTI chowk. In favour of their
demand, the YC members led by Amitesh Bhardwaj submitted a memorandum to municipal’s
deputy commissioner SK Sundarani on Thursday.
Bhardwaj said the YC members and the locals
had been demanding traffic signal at BTI chowk for long time as the vehicle
movement in the area had increased to manifolds.
“The heavy traffic at BTI chowk can cause
mishap anytime. Hence, we had recently conducted signature campaign in favour
of our demand and people responded it positively,” he added.
He warned Sundarani that the YC would
launch aggressive agitation at BTI chowk if the traffic signal would not be
installed there rapidly.
On the occasion, Bhardwaj was accompanied
by Ajanta Kaviraj, Sanjay Soni, Akash Tiwari, Amit Kausaria, Saket Vaidya,
Harshit Jaiswal, Kishan Chandani, Sattu Singh, Sewak Yadav, etc.
