Cong: CHB working as govt-nurtured land mafia

Raipur, August 01, 2012

Alleging that Chhattisgarh Housing Board (CHB) is simply making profit by selling houses at market rate and is uninterested in providing basic facilities to the buyers the Congress on Wednesday said that the board was functioning as government-nurtured land mafia.
“The CHB developed colonies in Saddu, Dhaneli and Sejbahar without planning and consequently these areas remain inundated during rains. The board’s other colonies too have large number of problems,” said Congress spokesperson Sushil Anand Shukla.
“Ironically, the board develops colonies on government lands and fixes cost of houses either equal to or more than houses built by private builders. Moreover, the houses constructed by the CHB are of inferior quality,” he said.
