AICC general secretary and state Congress incharge BK Hariprasada has asked PCC president Nandkumar Patel to start preparing for 2013 and 2014 polls by from BJP bastions. His directives came before he left for New Delhi on August 8.
Hariprasada, who suddenly became thorn in the eyes of BJPians after his derogatory remarks against BJP and RSS during party’s worker’s training camp at Sarguja, maintained during his recent visit that the Congress should continue attack on the ruling party.
He asked Patel to first constitute booth-level committees in BJP stronghold areas.
He also took update from Patel regarding petition lodged by Bhupesh Baghel against CM on BALCO land acquisition case. He asked Patel to provide full support to Baghel and not to leave him alone during court hearings on BALCO episode.
According to information, Patel has submitted a list of a few names to be included in PCC as new general secretaries. The appointments are likely to be done by August end. The new presidents of DCC Raipur Urban and DCC Mahasamund would also be announced by August end, informed sources.
