Union government has constituted 14-member governing body for All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Raipur . The body comprises of three more seats which will be filled by members of parliament (MPs) in coming days.
According to information, the government body would be authorised to take decision on policy making affairs, budget, infrastructure in AIIMS complex, purchase, etc.
The members of governing body are – vice chancellor Ayush University Dr Arun T Dabke, director general heath services under union ministry of health and family welfare Dr Jagdish Prasad, director AIIMS Raipur Dr M Nagarkar, additional secretary and financial advisor under union ministry of health and family welfare SK Shrivastava, director Indian Institute of Management Raipur Professor BS Sahay, union minister for health and family welfare department Ghulam Nabi Azad, secretary union ministry of health and family welfare Keshav Desiraju, director Indian Institute of Technology Chennai Professor Bhaskar Ramamurthi, Chhattisgarh chief secretary Sunil Kumar, former secretary union ministry of health and family welfare K Sujatha Rao, HoD medicine Pt Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Medical College Raipur Dr GB Gupta, director Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research Dr TS Ravikumar, Professor Vinod Paul from AIIMS Delhi and Professor V Ravi from National Institute of Mental Health and Neuroscience Bangalore.
