Congress staged day-long dharna against government under its BJP hatao, Chhattisgarh bachao (remove BJP, save Chhattisgarh) campaign at dharna spot on Friday. The dharna programme was jointly organised by DCC Raipur Urban and Rural units.
On the occasion, DCC Raipur Urban president Vikas Upadhyay and DCC Raipur Rural chief Pankaj Sharma held incumbent government responsible for naxal attack on Congress leaders at Jiram valley in Darbha region on May 25, 2013. They also flayed the government for failing to give good governance and checking rising corruption in state.
They said Chhattisgarh lagged from other states in sectors like primary health, agriculture and infrastructure due to BJP government’s ineffective policies.
The dharna programme was attended by Sandeep Tiwari, Sushil Sachdev, Rati Ram Sahu, Akash Tiwari, Ashutosh Mishra, RMC mayor Kiranmayi Nayak, Ghanshyam Raju Tiwari, Dr Narendra Singh, etc.
