Cong poll panel meet tomorrow

Raipur, August 10, 2013

The first meeting of Congress election committee will be convened at the residence of CLP leader Ravindra Choubey at 7 pm on August 12. To attend the meeting, AICC treasurer Motilal Vora, Chhattisgarh Congress incharge BK Hariprasada and Rajya Sabha member Mohsina Kidwai will arrive from New Delhi August 12.

According to information, while Hariprasada will reach Raipur at morning, Vora and Kidwai will reach at evening. In the afternoon, Hariprasada will attend party’s scheduled caste conference in Ahiwara assembly constituency.

In the poll panel meet, the members will discuss over probable candidates and chalk out strategy for election campaign.

Besides Vora and Kidwai, the members of Congress poll panel are - PCC president Charandas Mahant, CLP leader Ravindra Choubey, CLP deputy leader Rampukar Singh, party MLA Mohammad Akbar, for PCC chief Dhanendra Sahu, senior party legislator Ajit Jogi, senior tribal leader Bodhram Kanwar and Dhanesh Patila. Besides, heads of Pradesh Mahila Congress, Seva Dal, Youth Congress, NSUI and Indian National Trade Union Congress are invited members of the panel.
