Cong to RMC: Civic problems galore in wards

Congress on Monday submitted a memorandum to Raipur municipal corporation (RMC) commissioner Taran Prakash Sinha pertaining to civic problems prevailed in Laxman Nagar under Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel ward (ward 18).

The DCC Raipur Urban president Vikas Upadhyay said the area lacked basic facilities including sanitation, street lights, tap water connections to poor under Bhagirathi Nal Jal Yojna, etc. Besides, he pointed that Khalhepara area of Laxman Nagar remain submerged not only during rains but also during other seasons due to lack of drainage system.

He warned the municipal commissioner to address the problems of Laxman Nagar in next 72 hours or Congress would take the matter to streets and protest aggressively.

On the occasion, Upadhyay was accompanied by Pramod Dubey, Samir Akhtar, Sirish Awasthi, Sheikh Mushir, Ajiz Bhinsara, Sanjay Pathak, Akash Tiwari, Sandeep Tiwari, Mohammad Ismail, etc.
