Senior Congress MLA Ajit Jogi on Monday alleged that naxalism ramified in state exponentially in past nine and a half years because BJP government never posed seriousness in dealing the issue.
He said the state government did not made proper use of Central funds to tackle Maoists. He pointed that the extremists, who were qualified to two districts during Congress regime, spread to nine districts during BJP’s two tenures.
Terming government’s vikas yatra based on empty claims he said the development never reached to practical footing in tribal regions like Bastar under former’s regime.
He said the ruling party completely failed to meet expectations of the people and hence the latter had decided to remove it from power in upcoming assembly polls.
