From Raipur South assembly constituency
A delegation of Agrawal Samaj, shopkeepers and Indira Bank
Sangharsh Samiti (IBSS) on Friday met PCC chief Charandas Mahant and demanded
ticket for Congress business cell president Kanhaiyya Agrawal from Raipur South
assembly constituency.
The delegation said Agrawal would be most
appropriate candidate from Raipur South Vidhan Sabha area as he had
continuously struggled for people and raised public-related matters like
shifting of toll plaza from Ring Road No 1 near Sundar Nagar. The delegation
said Agrawal was also active in social and religious works.
Notably, Raipur South assembly
constituency is BJP’s stronghold area and is being represented by MLA and PWD
minister Brijmohan Agrawal. The Congress is eyeing to turn the table in its
favour in Raipur South in upcoming elections.
The delegation was comprised of Home
Appliance Vitarak Sangh president Neeraj Sankhla, general secretary of Agrawal
Yuwa Manch Rajesh Kedia, IBSS representative Suresh Jain, Tulsi Janghel, Amar
Gidwani, Anil Bajaj, Nitesh Agrawal, Purushottam Sharma, etc.
