Continuing its protest movement against government in Indira Priyadarshini Bank scam, District Congress Committee (DCC) Raipur Urban on Thursday staged day-long dharna at Mahoba Bazar (under Raipur West Vidhan Sabha area) and demanded chief minister Raman Singh and four ministers – Brijmohan Agrawal, Amar Agrawal, Ramvichar Netam and Rajesh Munat to step down.
The party made it evident that it would continue staging dharna against the government unless it announces CBI probe into the bank scam.
After dharna programme, the Congmen burnt effigies of CM and four ministers. Later, they distributed CD of narco test conducted on bank manager Umesh Sinha – the main accused in the scam.
Earlier, DCC Raipur Urban had staged dharna against government at Pahadi chowk Gudhiyari and Khamtarai chowk under Raipur West assembly area.
The dharna was attended by PCC general secretary Subhash Dhuppad, DCC Raipur Urban president Vikas Upadhyay, Inderchand Dhariwal, Motilal Sahu, Mahendra Chhabda, Avtar Singh Saini, Shivnarayan Dwivedi, Shreekumar Menon, Pramod Dubey, Gurjeet Singh Sandhu, Santosh Agrawal, Shiv Singh Thakur, etc.
