Congress has held state government and district administration responsible for distribution of erroneous ration cards. In this connection, the party leaders led by DCC Raipur Urban president Vikas Upadhyay met Raipur Collector Siddhartha Komal Pardeshi on Tuesday and asked him to quickly replace erroneous cards help centres.
Upadhyay told Pardeshi that the beneficiaries were unable to avail of the benefits under ration card due to missing details and mistakes. He pointed that vital information like house number and address were missing in several ration cards.
He said the old ration cardholders too were waiting to receive renewed cards for a long time.
He said the mistakes in ration cards should be removed by organising help centres in wards. He further said that ration cards should be distributed through local corporators.
He warned Pardeshi of gheraoing Collectorate and residences of ministers if erroneous cards would not be replaced soon.
On the occasion, Upadhyay was accompanied by Raipur North MLA Kuldeep Juneja, Ghanshyam Raju Tiwari, Sumit Das, Samir Akhtar, Satnam Panag, Ajay, Tarunesh Parihar, Sandeep Tiwari, Sirish Awasthi, Ashutosh Mishra, Wasim, Sanjay Pathak, etc.
