Govt to install solar power pumps in all vangrams

The state government has decided to install solar power pumps in over 400 vangrams (forest villages) of the state. The fund would be provided from Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA). The decision was taken during the 27th meeting of Chhattisgarh State Renewable Energy Development Agency (CREDA) chaired by Chief Minister Raman Singh at Mantralaya on Tuesday.
The officials informed the CM that about 52 solar power pumps had already been installed in villages like Amera, Amania, Jamunia, Sonawahi, etc under Bodla and Pandaria development blocks of Kabirdham district and farmers there were successfully carrying out their irrigation works using those pumps.
The CM also approved the proposal to prepare course on solar energy for industrial training institutes (ITIs). Considering popularity of solar energy based equipment, the CM further directed the officials to open Aditya solar shops in all the shopping malls of the state.
The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary Finance Ajay Singh, Commissioner Agriculture Production DS Mishra, Commissioner Tribal Development Manoj Kumar Pingua, Energy Secretary Aman Kumar Singh, CREDA CEO SK Shukla and others officials.

  1. Installing solar panel is indeed a good investment. You do not only save with your electric bills, you also help in conserving energy. This is eco-friendly too and does not cause any pollution.
