The state has recorded 271.7 mm rainfall during the current monsoon season from June 1 to July 13. According to information provided by the officials of Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Jashpur district has recorded maximum rainfall in this season, i.e. 329 mm. The rainfall recorded in the other districts is – Bilaspur – 293.4 mm, Kabeerdham – 173.3 mm, Rajnandgaon – 230.6 mm, Dhamtari – 270.8 mm, Kanker (North Bastar)– 262.4 mm, Jagdalpur – 254.6 mm and Bijapur – 281.1 mm, Raigarh – 243.4 mm, Mahasamund – 205.4 mm, Raipur – 173.1 mm, Sarguja – 320.9 mm, Janjgir-Champa – 221, Korba – 326.7, Durg – 257.8 mm, Narayanpur – 292.6 mm and Dantewada (South Bastar) – 254.9 mm.
