Patel, Choubey to brief about state’s conditions to Rahul



The PCC president Nandkumar Patel and leader of Congress legislators’ party (CLP) Ravindra Choubey will brief about anarchy prevailed in the state to AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi at Jagdalpur on Wednesday. Gandhi will halt for a short while at Jagdalpur airport during his Odisha tour on Wednesday and meet senior party leaders.
Patel and Choubey left for Jagdalpur on Tuesday evening. According to information, the duo will invite Gandhi to tour Chhattisgarh, especially Bastar and Sarguja regions. They are also likely to inform him about rising naxal violence in the state and problems of sustenance before thousands of SPOs after the government removed them on Supreme Court’s directives.
The duo will prominently inform Gandhi how the government had acquired several hectares of lands from farmers and poor tribals without compensating them. They will further inform him about misuse of Central funds by the state government.
It is learnt that the only limited number of Congress leaders will meet Gandhi. Besides Patel and Choubey, a list of some of the senior local leaders of Bastar has been prepared to meet Gandhi.
